Bruce Rabb

Bruce Rabb is General Counsel of PILnet: The Global Network for Public Interest Law.  In addition to being a Director of NESRI, he is a Director Emeritus and Secretary of Human Rights Watch, where he also acts as Co-Chair of the LGBT Advisory Committee and as Vice Chair of the Middle East North Africa Advisory Committee, a Director of the National Center for Law and Economic Justice, which works on issues of economic justice for low-income people in the United States, a Director and Secretary of Rwanda Works, which operates in Bugasera with the objective of taking philanthropy beyond the alleviation of poverty to the development of an equitable and self-sustaining economy, a Director and Secretary of Sustainable South Bronx, which focuses on environmental justice and job training in the South Bronx area of New York City, a Director of Sabre Foundation, which distributes books to people in developing and transitional societies around the world, a Director of Cinereach, a foundation that supports the makers of socially aware films and seeks to help early stage filmmakers who don’t yet have the contacts or reputation to get support from established sources, and a Director of Citizens Union of the City of New York, a nonpartisan, civic organization that promotes good government and advances political reform in the city and state of New York. 

He is also a Fellow of the New York Institute for the Humanities at New York University, a forum for promoting the exchange of ideas between academics, professionals, politicians, diplomats, writers, journalists, musicians, painters, and other artists in New York City, and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the American Law Institute, and the New York City Bar Association.
