Monica is a volunteer attorney with NESRI’s Housing program and a graduate of NYU Law School. After law school, she clerked in the Southern District of New York for Magistrate Judge Ronald Ellis. Her goal since starting law school has been to develop the abilities and experience necessary to work to strengthen human rights and social justice domestically and around the world. As a law student she interned at the Center for Applied Legal Studies in Johannesburg and at the NAACP Legal Defense Fund and worked as a student advocate for the NYU International Human Rights Clinic.
