MAy 2006 - human rights Workshops in the gulf

NESRI joined a group of national and local Gulf Coast organizations such as the USHRN, Amnesty International - US, Environmental Advocates for Human Rights, NPACH, Saving Ourselves and the Women’s Environment and Development Organization, to coordinate two day-long workshops in New Orleans and Biloxi.  The trainings covered background, analysis and best practices for using a human rights approach to develop strategies for supporting hurricane survivors.
