NESRI partner the CIW culminated its  Do the Right Thing Tour with an amazing action in Tampa, Florida on March 5th.  Three marches, accompanied by live music and powerful art, moved through Tampa, starting from nearby Publix stores to a convergence point, spreading the message of Fair Food to thousands of consumers along the way.

“It is the artist’s business to create sunshine when the sun fails,” Noble Prize for Literature Winner, Romain Rolland, wrote in “The People’s Theater.”  The artists featured in the CIW’s action brought these words to life as farmworkers from Immokalee and allies from across the country sent a clear message to Publix that it is time to do the right thing and work with the CIW to improve farmworkers’ wages and working conditions.
