Make the Country's First Universal, Publicly Financed Health Care System a Reality: Calling on Everyone to Support the Vermont Campaign

Printer-friendly version

Support the Healthcare Is a Human Right Campaign and make the country’s first universal healthcare system a reality NOW!

Final decisions for implementing universal healthcare, based on Vermont’s 2011 law, will be made in the 2015 legislative session. The campaign is fighting for getting the new system up and running, and for financing it in an equitable way. Join Vermont’s people’s movement and help the Healthcare Is a Human Right Campaign to cross the finish line! Vermont can lead the way to universal healthcare wins across the country, just like it happened in Canada.

Take Action!  Here’s what you can do, wherever you live:

  • Come to Vermont on the first day of the legislative session, January 8, for a big action at the Statehouse in Montpelier. The campaign will call on elected officials to pass an equitable financing plan for a universal healthcare system that meets all health needs.
  • Come and make the 2015 May Day Rally the biggest Vermont has ever seen! Join thousands in front of the Statehouse and demonstrate the strength of the Healthcare Is a Human Right movement!
  • Take part in solidarity actions from afar – you can make phone calls, write letters or emails from wherever you’re based! Call or email Matt for details on how to take action: 802-373-0133 or
